    Voltage spikes, are they real?

After the last autocross I blew multiple fuses. By my reccolection I blew, one fog light fuse, my headlights fuse, the air conditioning and fan fuses and the fuse for the speedo.

My son was telling me that he heard of the alternator spiking might cause this scenario. Is our source FOS?

Asked another way, any other thoughts on why so many fuese could have blown at once?

If the voltage regulator is failing it is certainly possible, although as you are really thrashing the car you may have a loose wire or something that is shorting out.

        May be the case

We are generating some g force so the loose wire idea is possible. Not sure if it explains the smoking from under the dash after I turn on the AC.....
