Best way for storing vert soft top

WHat's the best way for storing the vert top in the compartment? I try to keep the plastic smooth, but sometimes it comes out creased after a day with the top down. I'm a little concerned for when I have my hard top this fall/winter. I've thought about putting a foam roll in there or something to help keep the shape. Any thoughts?

I have read that putting a towel on each side of the window when lowering the top helps alot with the folds/wear of the window.
