    Afm q...

A guy on E30Tech who has an '84 325e is interested in the AFM that came off of my '87 325e. He told me that he needs the AFM with PN 0 280 202 066. The AFM that I have reads 1 285 501 (which is odd, because my 325i AFM has the same thing on the bottom,) on the bottom, and 1 710 544 on the top (the black plastic portion.)

My question: Will my '87 eta AFM work on an '84 eta?

    Any help is appreciated.

Huh, not sure. There are variations/diff part numbers if you use realOEM for different years and production dates. They may physically swap, but may not talk to the computer the same way.
OTOH, if you use what is essentially the Hollander interchange at www.car-part.com, it seems to indicate they are all swappable through the eta range.
So, ultimately don't know. I would tend to think they are swappable.
