i swapped an engine 87 325 is motor and its all hooked up but when i turnthe key the starter just clicks. sometimes just once and all the car warning lights shut off or sometimes like 4 clicks then nothing. it wont turn over and was wondering if there was something wrong with the starter or etc. maybe the wires are wrong so if someone knows the colors or has a pic of there starter that would be much obliged.

Did you replace the engine ground? Missing/bad ground on oil pan will give this symptom.

Sometimes it'll look fine, but if you use your jumper cables and clamp one neg on the drain plug, and the other on the strut tower nuts, it'll be a good test, to see if it'll crank.
