Switching Ref sensor with speed sensor?

    Switching Ref sensor with speed sensor?

    I have a bad CPS, (the one with the grey plug), and was wondering if I could switch the position/wires and get my car to start/run more reliably until the new one gets here. Also, if someone has a source for CPS's for less than 70 bucks, that would be awesome.

      Same sensor, AutohausAZ has them for less than $70.

          But, if my speed sensor is bad, and causing my car not to start, would switching it with the reference sensor, make the eta happy enough to start and run for a few days while the part ships? I guess my question is, how critical to the motor running is the reference sensor?
