Are the five speed manual transmission gear ratios of the 1992-1995 318 and 325 the same?
The trans I got for my m50 e30 was from a 318i, I thought it would be a good idea since I was told the ratios are the same and the 4 cylinder would have worn less on the gears than the six would have.
I drove it to the shop today and if my tach is right, I was turning 3400 rpms in fifth gear at 50 mph with a 3.73 rear end and 195/65/r14 tires. This seemed very high to me, but the tach could be reading incorrectly.
Please help. By the way I have a perfect 3.73 LSD for sale that has about 70k miles on it.
