    Subframe bushing dimensions

Hi all. I've got my ol 325 on jackstands right now with every suspension component off the car. I've got a full GC kit to put it back together, with the intent of making it a 98% track car. I'm fairly new to BMWs, but not to cars, or a machine shop, so instead of shelling out hard-earned dough for overpriced bushings, I'm going to make my own out of aluminum. I've got the RTABs handled, and an almost complete design for the subframe bushings, with one exception:

I need the bore size in the subframe.

Mine are oblong (irregular and egg-shaped), so I don't know exactly what size to make the outer diameter of the bushings--the diameter which will press into the steel sleeve of the subframe. I have a good estimate, but if there is ANYBODY out there who has a set of uninstalled solid bushings (any make) who can get me a measurement on the main body, I would be willing to buy you a 6er of your favorite wrenching beverage. I appreciate all input, but as I am making these parts on a lathe and need a precise fit, replies like "It's like 2 or 3 inches" aren't much help.

I'm looking for a number with at least ten thou accuracy, preferably better. My estimate is about 2.280". Anyone? Thanks a bunch!

Oh, and I know this belongs in the suspension forum, but for some reason, I can't post there.
