CABRIO OWNER (and everyone else) HELP! WINDOWS RATTLE

    Hey guys

wondering if any of you have the same problem, and if there is anything that can be done to fix it..

when running the top down, if all my windows are all the way up, the front windows kinda rattle side to side and hit the rear windows, making an incredibly annoying rattle anytime i go over a bump... i have to lower both front windows a few inches to get the clearance for them not to rattle - i fucking hate it.

what can I do (some sort of adjustment?) to be able to run all the windows up, while the top is down, without the windows hitting each other and rattling ?

not really much that can be done.

Check to see if the rear window rubber weatherstrip is intact. Other than I have no ideas.

      Anyone else?

i am pretty sure they are intact - it seems that when the windows are all up, the fronts a backs dont link up properly - there is a tiny gap ( a few mm) and so they tap each other over every bump...over and over and over again.

      why? why??? WHY!?

there has to be some way to realign them, or pull the fronts slightly outward to push against the backs, so they don't tap each other...?

there is no way I will let them rattle against each other forever.

Dude, you look ridiculous with the top down and windows up anyway. It rattles, it always will, either deal with it, or roll down all the windows.

Thats the experience that I had with my cabby...
Hemingway said it best. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.”

                  Buy a Bentley, IMO.

Pull the door panels. There is a ton of adjustments for both the front and rear windows. You can position them anywhere, fine-tune fitment, etc...

Same here...however if i have a passenger who insists on the windows being up, I just leave the rears down just a touch so they don't rattle together.

There is also a procedure in the Bentley to adjust the windows...you do have a Bentley, right?

FWIW, if you have a windscreen, they're only effective with the windows up. If I have my wife in the car it's all windows+windscreen up; if I'm solo the only time I'll do that is if I want the top down and it's cold out. The windscreen makes the heater effective enough that you can run 80mph and still be toasty. At least in our freezing cold 50 degree nights. ;)

sucks running the windscreen and having my front windows both down like 2 inches so that they don't rattle.

LOL +1 except for the windscreen. Gotta get me one of those.
