Electric Fans

Those of you who run an electric fan instead of the stock one, what size did you use?

Anyone have any recommendations as far as mounting, or is it pretty obvious when you drop it in there?

There are nearly an infinite number of choices on fans. If space is an issue consider a dual fan mount that way the motors clear the lug on the waterpump pulley easy.

As for mounting the common method are these odd little zip tie like things that lock into plates on the front through the holes in the radiator. I thought it was cheesy at first but a friends M3 has been through many a trackday with no issues.

I dont remember at this point exactly what I ran. 16" slimmest you can find that pulls 1200 cfm or something along those lines. Pullers are much more efficient fans then pushers, and as for the install, it comes with the metal hardware that has to be cut down (the tabs are too long), which bolt to the slots in the radiator on the top and bottom gussets.
