    Reinforcing selector rod

Well, I broke the shift lever pin off my selector rod today.

Any ideas on how to reinforce these things so this doesn't happen again? I don't shift that hard...

UUC makes a double-sided piece, but they don't make an E30 specific one. Will any of their others fit the car. I know an E34 525i (M20) selector rod will fit, but other than that?

what pin are you talking about? Are you talking about the pin that connects the selector rod to the shifter?
