Wiring for a toggle switch ignition

I want to do either a push button or toggle switch ignition. To do this how would you do it? And how would you get the steering to be unlocked?

ya but what i want is something to start the car without the key because my tumbler is messed up and i cant even unlock the steering wheel with the key. Any onpinions on how to wiring something up or get the tumbler off?

Remove the steering wheel, remove the pin and spring holding the lock tab, remove steering lock. This problem is solved.

Wire your start and ignition circuits into the panel. Obviously you will need a wiring diagram and some decent wiring skills but I think you can handle it.
