Heater don't work

Hey guys,

My heater sometimes works and sometimes doens't work, this gets annoying. When driving, i try to turn on the heater, nothing but outside air, then out of nowhere it starts to blow hot air again. It's very random. What could be wrong?

Air in the coolant system.

Really, that causes that? Any other problems?

Ya air in the system can cuase coolant not to be contastantly flowign threw the heater core. Search for Cooling system bleading on how to get rid of any air leaks. More then likely this is the cuase.

I have the exact same problem in my 1990 318is. So bleeding is the way to fix it eh ? ill give it a try.
