Help ignition stuck, won't turn over!

So last night I took the car up the street to the market. Got some food and headed back to my car. Put the key in like always and try to turn it on. The key only goes to the first click. From there it feels like it is stuck. I tried forcing it a little, but didn't want to over do it and break the key. Anyways so I pushed the car home (1.5 from house) and its sitting in front of my house now. :pimp:

What's the problem? Is my ignition fuc'd? How can I fix this? When I first got the car till now it been working properly. Help me out guys! TIA!

I know that E36s have a security "tab" it the ignition that brakes off if you try to jam something in it to start the car, like a screw driver. This happened to robertK's wife's 92 325. He had to buy a new ignition.
