    Cruise Control shuts off

Seems to work fine until I hit a bump and then it shuts off. Any ideas of what to look for? I've never heard of this or had this happen in either of my 4 e30s' but in my iX everytime I hit a bump (which is often on WI roads) it shuts off. I can usually get it on for about 3-5 minutes at a time on the highway.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks

    Dave

Sounds electrical. The clutch switch will shut it off as will the brake switch. check connections on those first.

+1. Your clutch or brake switch is probably too close and the pedal will disengage your cruise. Just a little bend will do the trick. In my case it was the clutch switch which kept disableing the cruise.

You should be able to determine whether the clutch or brake light switch is the cause by hooking you left foot under the pedal and lifting the pedal while traversing a bump that you know will shut off cruise control.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
