Car stays on when fog lamps on wtf!!

Me yan and alex were on a road trip last week and when we pulled into the gas staion yan pulled the keys out the ignition and the car was completely on! Engine running and headlighs on, we thougt it was a bad tumbler or something then end of the trip it turned off.

So i figgued out that whenever the fog lamps are on it does this, as soon as i turn off the headlights or fog lamps the whole car turns off. Does any1 elses car do this? mines a 1990 Euro spec Mtech

Thats crazy. too bad it doesnt start the engine too, then you could just turn your fog swtich into a ignition button :P

Kind of similar to my is. The radio will come on and power antenna will go up when you pull the headlight switch on, with the keys out..............PO did something that I still haven't discovered. The panel/cluster lights are on when the key is turned on too.

my friends car does this, but he can also start his car with any key,(he's got a t-bird). he can be driving and then take the key out and the car acts like nothing happened.

I betcha some wires melted and fused together. I was diagnosing my aux fan last night, and found a molten ground wire from the aux fan hi-speed relay in the fuse box, into the harness, through the fire-wall, going all the way to the main ground wire. It had fused together several other wires. Luckily for me it only melted the insulation on the ground wire itself, and not the other ones.. Surely, that would've caused a fire.
