Hi, I removed the aluminum window trim from the door and rain gutter. I noticed that there is a sealant that attaches the trim to the body. I would like to know what kind of sealant/adhesive I need to use when I install the trimmings back. Any help is very much appreciated.

100% silicone should do the job.
Or you could use super weatherstrip adhesive 3m brand. It is very sticky and messy and once its stuck it doesnt like to come off.

Yeah, no adhesive is normal. Someone added that gunk.
