LMFAO, maybe your not too smart... but your funny

I'm replacing my SRS wheel with an M-Tech 1 wheel in a few days. Since nobody wants SRS wheels anymore, I plan on placing my old SRS bag face down on the street, running some wires to it and then detonating it  A video will come soon! I hear that it should clear about 40 feet vertically!

Don't post if you don't know the right answer.

That's not how to remove an airbag wheel.

I think he was replying to IL DUCE, not Jhinck1414. If he was, then he is absolutely correct (except you have to have the steering column unlocked). See quote below.

eurospeed he had the correct way of removing the steering wheel for non-srs.

with the sport wheel though, with the horn in the middle, do you still remove the emblum to remove the bolt.

You are correct. All the wheels are removed essentially the same way *EXCEPT* the SRS wheels where you should disconnect the battery and wait 30 minutes for the capacitors to discharge... you then have to remove the torx screws from behind the wheel and pull the bag off.

Fromt there you may follow the standard proceedure.

I have done many searches myself with no good results. I feel your pain. I chose to go with the M-Tech 2 steering wheel and in my opinion there is nothing better. They are not cheap in good condition, but worth every penny($250-300). Smaller diameter, thicker grip, and good looking, really enhances the interior of your car. Awesome upgrade. Most importantly though, they just feel so damn good in your hand. Makes driving that much more enjoyable.
