    Replacing fuel pump

    Alright guys need some help on dropping tank. do i need to undo my exhaust? what does the bentley say to do or someone who has done this can you give me some info.

    No tank drop!

    Just take your back seat out, passenger side, you'll see a black cover with three bolts/screws, take them out, and pump is right there, very easy!

      Just make sure the tank is less than 3/4 full or you could get some fuel spilling out.

        Thats awesome i just assumed it had to be dropped. :up:

            Yes. Late models only have one fuel pump in tank. Early models had two pumps a transfer and main. Shouldn't take you more then 45 mins if you never have done it. Were did you end up getting a pump from?

              Still havent ordered one but im thinking monday morning im calling up BMA and having them send me one. they were the cheapest i found.

                  Yep, all the 325i fuel pumps are the same IIRC. But the intank fuel pump for the 325e's and the 325i's are different part numbers. Made that mistake once :oops:

                    When i turn my key to the "on" position i hear a click followed by 2 other clicks sounding like a light switch being flicked back and forth really quick like. Can someone enlighten me on this?
