Whenever I start up the 325 and turn on the A/C, there's a faint smell of gasoline... does anyone know what would cause this?

Any time the A/C is on, with the recirculate off, you smell it.Originally posted by Spazis it only when you turn on the a/c or is it with the vents open, the heater on??Originally posted by e30MattWhenever I start up the 325 and turn on the A/C, there's a faint smell of gasoline... does anyone know what would cause this?

ditto i was noticing this on my car along with a smell of gas all along the driver side of my car after driving for a while, ended up being the fuel line closest to the tank for me. but the smell was barely noticable with my ac on so i would check the line where the a/c grabs air from. make shure you do it while your car is hot though seeing as the lines expand when their hot so it leaks more. my line dosent even leak till its hot so checking cold can be unfruitfullfirst off i'd check all the fuel lines.Comment

I'd check to see how your injectors towards the rear are seated, once that happened to me and one of my injectors was leaking a little bit of fuel.
Maybe you could add some sort of UV additive to the fuel then take a UV light to see where it's coming from..? We do this for AC systems when refilling and to check for coolant leaks
