    Door/seatbelt gong gone crazy

Since yesterday, every time I sit down (even with the engine off and the key out), the gong starts going off, and it rarely shuts up. I unplugged it this morning, but I'd like to fix whatever went wrong. If anyone has successfully diagnosed a similar problem, I'd love to hear what you did to straighten things out.

What did you unplug? The gong itself or the cable under your seat?

The gong. The driver-side seatbelt buckle was replaced in July.

          bump.

The gong is still disconnected. I'd prefer to fix this rather than leave it disabled...
