On my 87 325e prod date 5/87, I have 3 a/c wires for the compressor. 2 on the chassis harness and now, after a 2.7i install with an early Motronic 1.3, I have a third on the engine harness. The 2 on the chassis are both blk/red. The engine harness is blu/wht. The one that was attached when I bought the car in coming from the loom with the plugs for the H/L pressure swithches. One is just hanging from the loom with the plugs from the coolant level and the washer motor. My A/C is intermittant and I was thinking I might try connecting the compressor to one of the other wires to see if that fixes it.
Are there any experts out there with some info on this?
Well, none of the wires have 12v to them with the a/c button on. Looks like the evaporator temp switch needs to be checked before moving on.
