Help to identify wiring bundle in engine bay.

    1985 325e manual

Driver's side right near blockoff to headlight.

There is also a small printed circuit board type thing that has been snapped and taped up wires still connected.

There appear to be three studs available to bolt a bracket to near the bundle as well with nothing there.

    Any help is appreciated.

Can't tell for sure, but it looks like something to do with an alarm maybe.

Any time you see those type of connectors you can pretty much guarantee they were added by some previous owner. Not to mention the fact that, with the exception of brown, white or black, you'll almost never see wires in solid, primary colors (no stripes) in a factory wiring harness, especially away from the under-dash area.

That's an aftermarket addition, so there is no telling what it's purpose was without seeing where those wires connect to. Follow them back to where they link in with the OEM harness, and let us know where those connections are.

That's the right location and looks like the old cruise harness running up to it. (Black/Red) Someone probably demolished the damn thing and tried to "fix" it.

Have cruise control? Does it work?
