I test-drove an 88 325is today and shifting was a chore to say the least. Gearsbox felt really spongy and difficult to get into gear/ especially hard to get in reverse. Anyone seen this before, and know how much it'll be to fix?

I've seen that on cars with really thick gear lube in the transmission when they were cold. Mine's occasionally like that after a cold night.
