I just started using mobil one and was wondering what interval you guys change your oil at? Do you change the filter sooner?

Filter every 5k miles and add oil to bring it back up.
Oil every 15k. At least that's what I do.

Depending on the quality of the filter, change it ever 3-6k miles.
I usually just change my oil twice per year (I don't drive more than 4-5k per year); thick stuff during the Summer and thin stuff during the Winter.Originally posted by GrueliusComment

5k max for my car for both filter & oil i usually change before tho around 4k-ish. 15k sounds like a huge strech to me go check out the techinical articles at bemerfourms.com has a very comprehensive article about oil. or just do a search on this fourm i hyperlinked the article for some one else and i would have done it here but i just moved and didn't bring my computer so i have to use my roommatesd comp and dont have my favorates on yet but look around and you shall find the answer.Comment

Well BMW Europe has 30k filters and that equals 18.6k miles so that's perfectly accepted. I do the same I just swap filters if the oil is still clean looking. On the BMW Mann filters the 719/15 or 719/30 the second number is for the mileage rating in KM.Comment
