    Stooopid Interval reset

Well. After a few years I try to reset oil service on my '91 318is. Device worked on my 325X last time. Now oil light doesn't come( green LED) on reset device. Red led does come on when turned on but nothing. Do these cheaper units have a short life? WTF?

Search for "SI board batteries." And you will find out that your service indicator board no longer functions due to it basically being out of batteries.

Well that seems odd because whenever service interval batteries died I got some weird gauge malfunction...Cluster does odd things when batts go down.
      Gaugse all good.

My gauges all work fine, but I am unable to reset the SI lights and sometimes they give me a cool little flashing light show. I have attributed this to the SI board batteries but I could always be wrong.

mine crapped out too...I was able to reset them, now only the yellow light comes on...not to mention it stays on all the time now...the red one tends to light up when I hit bumps and stuff.

Time for a new board...this one has acid goo from the batteries on it.

            SI Board

If you need one I have a spare. It's almost brand new too. $80 shipped?
