    Starter Difference? 325e VS 325i

Well, my piece of shit Eta needs a new starter so I am going to just go grab one from the junkyard most likely. Is there a difference in the 325e starter VS the 325i? Can I put a m20b25 starter on my m20b27?

I am by no means an expert - but I dont think you can. The ETA's flywheel is much different than the I flywheel.

I don't see why not, the mount should be the same as well as the gear on the flywheel is hte same

however I am not positive, I didn't see any major differences mechanically between my 325i and 325e starter

They will interchange, the 325i one is a little stronger then the ETA and on some models the wiring is different for the small wire. Latter cars use a screw down wire, where as early models use a spade connector.
I have 2 known working 325e starters in the garage. $40 shipped and one is yours.
