    a couple interior questions

hi all, got a few interior questions/annoyances i want to take care of while i've got some free time & nice weather, before the snow sets in until spring.

1: sunroof sticks when a; almost closed (where it reaches the wind deflector) and b; when using the pop up function. in both cases it'll open/close entirely with some manual persuasion and/or a few repeated pushes of the button. what can i clean & lube to stop this?

2: how do i remove the front seat headrests?

3:the drivers side seat belt recepticle has gotten sticky, the button sticks in and the little catch inside will get stuck either open or closed, depending on what mood it is in. can i take the outside covers off & clean & lube the internals to fix this, or do just need a "new" one.

4: not really an interior issue, but something i only experience when i'm inside the car driving. there is a metallic rattling coming from the rear passenger side area when driving over rought pavement, railroad tracks, etc. what should i check? diff & shock/suspension mounts? what else?

    thanks, andy.

1.Get ridd of the wind defflector, it'll make a world of difference.
2.Lean the seat forward then pull hard by holding the top and bottom of the headrest.
3.Just buy newones safety is not to be toyed with!
    4. You seem to be heading in the right direction, Mounts, Shocks, bushings is my guess too.

      1. you mean the one that pops up when the sunroof is open? i got rid of the stupid plastic one already.
      2. word.
      3. agreed, it just seems like the mechanism would be funtional if it was cleaned out & lubed. i'll start looking for a new one & probably pull the old one apart for fun, just to see whats up with it.
      4. thanks!

Don't get rid of the built-in one. You may just need to clean and lube up the sunroof mechanism. After 20 years, a lot of crap can build up in there.
