Hood Stuck Open

Previous owner broke the hood opener inside. He ran a cable behind the bumper on the left side of the car, which you have to pull to pop the hood. Last night the hood stopped closing and just pops up every time you try.

Where is the latch assembly located and what do I need to do to access it. What do you guys think the problem is?

Right behind your drivers side grill, you need a phillips screwdriver. Lube the shit outta that thing with some penetrant and try to get it moving by trying to close it... you may need to adjust it with a 10 socket.
