    chair handle

    Hey all,

My lift handle that allows the driver chair to flip forward for rear seat access is sticking.. and getting worse.. anyone come across this before? Any suggestions? I think it may be the hook at the bottom or just a really old seat.

    Thanks.

seat shocks?? I never knew there were shocks in the seats for that.. It feels like it won't release the locking part that will allow the seat to flip forward unless I really pull on the lever hard.

Or the cabling that runs throughout.

Sounds like one of the cables is snagged, loose or, detaching/detached or broken. Take the back off the seat.

Had that in my M3. Pull the seat, pull the plastic cover off the hinges, shoot it with good penetrating oil(find low smell as it will stink for a while.NOT WD40)then exercise it alot. Then shoot it with white lithium grease.
          It worked for mine. G/L

Might have to try what Todd suggested, or let me know if you figure yours out. Only my driver's side works and I hate letting my little sister get out of the car on the traffic side.
