    SI lights flashing rapidly

ok, so here's the whole story.

i was driving around last night in the wet and i turned left at about 25km/h into a street thats a really wide road that has no light poles or street poles or anything or, last night, any other cars and i put the foot down a bit too much. my car doesn't have tcs or abs or any of that so when the foot goes down the tail kicks out. now, im not one that loves sliding, so its not like i purposely planted my foot, but either way the tail was out and i was shitting myself. i tapped the brakes and the car grabbed and i ended facing about 150 degrees in the other direction. needless to say i was shitting myself, even though i didnt hit anything.

now, i drove my car around some more and came home. i went to drive to the shops today and my sub wasn't working and my SI lights were flashing rapidly. i got back home and turned the car off. i turned the ignition on and the SI lights came on and went off like normal, but then they came back on and rapidly flashed again. anyway, i opened my boot and found my sub had slid across the boot and the wires were not plugged in. hence the sub not working. i plugged the back in, turned the ignition on, found my sub to be working and also the SI lights went back to how the used to be, no longer rapidly flashing.

i installed my sound system myself so i know for a fact that the only common thing the sub (well, the amp) and the SI lights have is the use of the battery lol.

everything is back to normal now but i was just wondering what in the world could have cause the SI lights to flash? has anyone had this happen to them?

I think my car would panic if the sub quit working.

hmm toughy. The only thing I can remotely think of is...
Where the batter terminal connections loose? Maybe the battery was dis/re connecting due to the looseness and causing the SI bored to flash quickly like it was constantly going to ignition. You wouldn't have noticed because the car was already on and the alternator was going.

If your correct about your wiring, I can think of no other scenario's that would cause this problem.

it really has me stumped. i mean, im not losing sleep over it because its fixed but its the curiosity thats intriguing me.

i didnt even open the bonnet (my battery is in there) so it couldnt have anything to do with the terminals. its weird lol. i was hoping the geniuses on here and bimmer forums could help me out, but to no avail yet lol
