    coolant check light

last night I took the car out for a ride...it had been sitting for a couple of weeks while I'm getting my budget together for my project. all of a sudden, at about 70 MPH I heard a thump from the left rear (might have been the in-tank pump or at least in that vicinity) and my check light started flashing with the coolant indicator lit up...it doesn't make sense to me but it was simultaneous so:?: , hmmm....any suggestions

i did...every thing there looks good...i also recently changed the coolant level sending unit, new lower radiator hose. temperature was fine, and that thump in the back??? could it be the pump going bad. and why the collant sgnal???

i took my car out again this morning out of curiosity...no coolant check light but the whine from my in-tank fuel pump is really loud, excesively loud. i'm going to change it out. i'm also looking for any leak, soft hoses, etc..but nothing so far. we'll see what happens :?

All that sensor reads is the coolant level.
