    Transmission selector rod frozen

The selector rod on my car froze up today in neutral previous to the freeezing I was only able to use R,1,2,5 the problem started last night when 3 and 4 where really hard to get to for some reason, no grinding just didn't catch, any ideas, yes the selector rod is still connected to the selector plate at the knuckle I'm looking for some who knows what might be going on inside, is this the `excuse I was needing to do the engine/tranny swap out of my parts car?
    any help is appreciated.

Additional question how do you get the control arms off without ripping the ball joint rubber on the outside, used pickle fork and mine ripped, can I fix these or do I have to buy new ones?

as for your first question, i've never encountered that so i can't help you, start off with check the fluid levels.

and your second question, use a big ass hammer, it will pop out after some good hits. and if you do rip the boots bmp have urthane covers that will work.

    hth.
