Question about inoperable fan (heat) on all 4 settings.

I read threads here regarding a bad resistor, but most of the issues I read still had setting 4 work.....which isn't the case.

I'm going to check the fuses this wkend, but is there anything else I should be looking out for? Thanks.

Normally 4th still works if just the resistor. The fan motor itself might be toast if 4th doesn't work and fuses are ok. you can clean all the contacts on the resistor connections...which usually solves resistor problems. Was it making any kind of odd noises before it went?

i didn't notice any odd noises to be honest. The motor was replaced w/ another used motor last yr....and all the switches/resistors I believe are all new.

I had a problem with mine shortly after getting it. No air blowing on any setting. Every component checked out good, turned out it was the fuse not making a good connection inside the fuse block. I simply twisted the blades of the fuse a little bit to create a snugger fit, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. :)

i just swapped out the fuses, and it looks like its DEF not a fuse issue. I guess I'll look into replacing the blower motor. Thats my only guess since none of the setting work.

you did check for power and ground at the blower motor connectors right?

or pull out the blower motor and check it with test leads straight off the battery and to a good ground on the car...

troubleshoot that shit man dont just throw parts at it

Yea I have a friend helping me troubleshoot it this Sunday. I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff, so hopefully with his help we can figure out what the problem is. Thanks!
