E30 Failed Smog

[92 mtechnic cabrio]

I had:

- 1000 miles over my oil change
- 17.5# injectors
- Dinan chip
- M30 AFM
- High oil consumption
- 91 octane

and I passed with below national average on everything!

This was last Saturday.

I had same problem 6 moths ago. This is what I did to pass.
-ran the 'smog pass" fuel additive for one tank before getting re-test.
-replaced o2 sensor with the Mustang generic 3 wire o2 from autozone
- replaced thermostat "only if you don't get up to operating temps. I was running too cold"

Like the other said. get your car nice and hot before the test. All this should only cost you about $50 and take 2 or so hrs to do. Way better then buying a cat that you don't need.
