my car wont start, i turn the key to the on position and it doesnt do anything it doesnt crank but all the dash lights are on, i noticed if i hold the key in the start position for a couple seconds then the engine will crank and start right up, but i also noticed that if i turn the key from the on and off position a couple times the engine will start, can you guys help me or has anyone come across this?

This could be anything from a bad ignition switch to an failing starter. More diagnostics are needed to determine the cause. You need to know if pilot and main power are present at the starter when the key is switched to start and whether there's a high resistance from the block to the negative battery terminal.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
