Cluster help!!! 4 wires hanging - Pictures inside!!

I searched and searched and done everything need.

Okay so my rpms dont work on my cluster. Everything is working fine except for the rpms. The 5 green lights on the inspection light are on and inspection keeps flashing.

I replaced the SI batteries and the batteries say 3.2x volts so the new batteries are soldered and working great.

There are 4 wires hanging back there and i think thats where the problem is.
2 wires from the blue harness





2 wires from the white harness

Those are just for the bulbs on the cluster, probably for ABS and something else that rquires external wire connection. Look at the back of the cluster where all the bulbs are....

last but not least. random wires I think they are speaker wires but I could be wrong.. what do you guys think of those wires?

It may just be your cluster.

The bulbs are missing ( I ordered every single bulb from the dealership). I switched some bulbs around and the bulbs are good. I m still missing half of them.

Damn Sheefo, how much did you spend on those bulbs? You can get a working cluster for 25+/-.

I spent 35 on mine and everything works, including the odometer. You should try to swap chips and cluters with Alecs car really quick to check if it is your cluster, or wiring. If it is your cluster, return those bulbs and buy a used cluster

good point.. I think alec is not VDO and mine is VDO.. are they interchangeable?

btw all the clusters i ve seen were 150 and 175.
I like my Kilometer and Liter cluster.

It doesnt matter. My old one was motometer and the new one is VDO. The chip and year matters. What models and years are your cars?

btw all the clusters i ve seen were 150 and 175.
I like my Kilometer and Liter cluster.

If you like the kilometer and liter, it may still not hurt to check if it is your cluster.

Occasionly euro clusters pop up here, for around 12ish. For the US clusters just look at the part out threads and they are pretty cheap.

Those missing wires do not explain the broken tach, but the 2 wires on the right are for the ABS Light, and the 2 on the left are for the Check Engine Lights.

And yes those other blue/yellow wires are in fact factory speaker wiring.
