Uneven wheels spacing

Hey,

I noticed that my rear tires seem to be spaced slightly differently. One side rubs against the fender, and the other has an additional 1/4" or so of clearance. Is this normal, or symptomatic of a bigger problem? thanks

Something is wrong, either with the suspension of body. If the absence of obvious deformation, I'd hazard a guess that the problem lies in the suspension and that would be the place to start.

Looking at the car from behind, both sides look to have even negative camber (no obvious differences)

When pushing the rear of the car from the side, the wheels move along with the body - meaning there's no slop in the suspension.

now that you mention in, the car was hit in the side rear where the tire rubs(fender bender in a parking lot I guess) - that must be it. Though the actual fender doesn't look to be pushed in, that seems to be the likeliest explanation.

on second thought, could this be bad subframe bushings? I dont feel the car wobble when cornering

My guess is a bent subframe or trailing arm. Both have been known to happen before. The bushings will make the car feel like it has some degree of rear steering if they are shot.
