Power mirror question

Hey guys, I know you are probally tired of my questions. If so Im sorry.

My passenger side power mirror didnt work. I took apart the harness on the door and cleaned it out, and the harness that goes into the mirror, along with the mirrors harness. After I did that, it came back to life, but only powered seft or right. If I try to move it side to side I hear a click on the dirver side one, and the passenger side either moves up or down depending on which side I turn it to.

My question is what would be causing that clicking? May a wire be touching, or maybe a bad ground. Since it is only the two directions it has me confuesed. Any help will be appreciated.

i have a mirror ill ship you for $20 plus shipping...
can't really tell why your mirror would be making that sound. these things get old and stop working right after a while to.

I have an extra passenger side mirror also, it is not the mirror. Thank you though. The drivers side did the same thing before I cleaned it. I am pretty sure it is a wire either touching or not touching some where. I was curious to see others opinions before I tear the car apart.

cool cool. shouldn't be a hard fix. those mirrors come off in about 2 minutes.

I am thinking it is a wire problem, or the switch.

Today I unplugged the pass mirror and the when I tried to turn it right or left nothing happened obviously, and when I tried to put it up or down it made the clicking noise from the drivers side mirror. Like some power is going to it or something?
