Euro cluster tach swap out to E tach question

So I've got a euro cluster I need to use. My E cluster has been fucking up more and more since I replaced the gears in it. The speedo barely works, mostly just sits in one spot, and the gas is total inacurate (ran out of gas this morning AGAIN). Not to mention my OBC went out, which I relied on for gas consumption monitoring. Anywhos, I've got a euro cluster that I'd like to use but I dont want to just swap the coding plug and roll with it. I want the tach to read correct.

    What would you guys do?

I think I can just drop the whole tach assembly out and put it into the new body? Right?
Should I mention that the euro cluster has like 340k miles on it and my E cluster has over 100k less miles? Am I running risk of just putting in a dead beat soon to die cluster? Should I just rebuild mine?

IS this a retarded question or sometihng? I figured it would be a nice change of pace from the E to I cluster swap questions.

I would actually swap into the 'e' cluster with the new parts.

Can't you just open it and change the gears to read whatever number you want?

The reason I asked is because I have what I believe to be a federalized euro eta cluster. It's all metric except for the speedo which is mph, however I think it's an 85 specific cluster something to do with codeplugs or something.
