    Spare M42 flywheel

Does anyone have a spare M42 flywheel laying around? I need some measurements off of it to complete my research that started in another thread. (http://www.r3vlimited.com/phpBB2/vie...flywheel+cheap)

Somebody has to have a spare M42 flywheel laying around or know of someone who does.

Not many people have spare M42 parts "laying around". much less a crucial one like a flywheel. I suggest you look on ebay.

I dont need a flywheel for an M42 I already have one but it's buried in my transmission right now. I wanted to know some measurements to see if another lighter flywheel would fit in its place.

m40 flywheel is substantially lighter, and it fits. but i dont think youd find one in your neck of the woods.

Find me a 325 flywheel and all the necessary parts, I'll do the flywheel swap and give you my dual-mass hunk 'o crap.

Well can you take some measurements of it for me?
If so I just need to know a couple of things (pref. in mm):
                -Overall diameter
-Number of teeth on the starter wheel
                -Thickness
                -Diameter of mounting bolts

Pretty much everything entailed in this archaic drawing done on the other thread.

Swap a shaved 325i single mass flywheel in. ~13-15lbs.

Understood from Stu's article. I just wanted to know the measurements so I can see if the cheaper 318i M10 flywheel can be swapped in its place, and possibly use the 318i M10 clutch.
