    4/5/7 point harness installation questions

Hey i was wondering if there was a way to install a 4/5/7 point seatbelt harness on a stock e30 with no roll cage or anything. what can they be mounted to or would i have to modify something behind the seat to do this. pics would be cool too......thanks all

If you have a coupe is it possible to use a harness bar for the shoulder straps
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i am not sure why you would need more on a street car

these are ENGINEERED to fit AND perform correctly when mounted to the rear seat belt locations.

if you do the same thing with other racing belts not designed for this purpose, they will pull you down you the seat compressing your spine in the event of a crash. not a good thing

The harness bar bolts to the shoulder belt attach points. On my 87 there were two reinforced attach points on each side, about 3' apart. By using both holes the harness bar is locked into position. Until I got a cage, I used a home made harness bar fabed up from schedule 40 pipe and 1-1/2x1/4" strap.
