How do I get the nut off the end where the arrow is pointing without it spinning? Is it easier to do w the diff on the car, attached to the half shafts?

Don't fuck with the input seal noob .

You'll never be able to torque the nut back down without crushing the pinion bearings .

Just slap in the output shaft seals and pop in the flanges and be done with it .

So your saying if my input shaft seal is leaking, I should just fuck it.

I'd say fuck it or the othr option is to take it to a shop thst familiar with BMW diff rebuilds and have them change the seal for you .

Or its also the perfect time to swap to a used big case LSD diff .
