        yea it'll work. hell, a BMW V12 will fit in your 318.

          well said stu.

          one question though bavarian...

          if you are going to spend the time and money on a swap, why not go for something better like an m50, or if you don't want that much of a motor, then an m20. the m20 swap is simple (did one on mine) with no modifications or wiring splices. the gains would be way more than the m42.

          one thing though. if you do the m20 swap, get a donor car so that you can swap out the tranny and rear end while you're at it.

            Axel, I also second the M20 also but go with an M20B25 and i also say get a donor car. 8)

              okay M20 but with the severe motor laws here in belgium is motor swap forbidden :curse: , so, it has to stay a 4 banger
              (we have yearly car inspection)
