People of R3v:
I had the heat cranked this morning during warm up idle while I shovelled the driveway for 10-15 minutes, only to come back to a cabin which smelt like burn wires.
I don't know if this is relevant, but I found out soon after that I had left my wipers on the evening before when I parked the car, and this morning the wiper motor was fighting the weight of all the snow on the windshield while I stepped away to plow the driveway. My wipers currently still work in all settings without trouble. No blown fuses, all works fine. I even stuck my nose into the glovebox behind which are all the wires, and smell nothing, which leads me to suspect that the burning smell is coming from the HVAC passages.
The vents currently still blow smelly air on hot or cold as if something is still burning, but I have no smoke (thank god!), and the smell does not get more intense, just kinda there.
Any help appreciated!
