Windshield washer is WEAK... motor? other problem?

    So,

my windshield washer shoots SUPER weak.

The passenger side barely even works, it doesn't shoot up to the window... it just leaks... and runs down the hood.

The driver's side is super weak, too... It shoots to the window, but just barely.

The windshield washer fluid is full..

Would this be the result of the motor going bad?

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

Has this not happened to anyone?

I can't see shit when I'm on the highway, and everyone is kicking up dirt and slush and shit on to my windshield, and I can't windshield wash it away... fuck.

Take off the hose at the pump and blow some air through the lines, I just did this the other day.

            How did it go?

Did it clear everything up for you? Fix the issue?

And did you blow the air into the nozzles? Or from under the hood..up through the tubes?

Mine stopped working a while ago, but with the recent bad weather I decided to do something about it. I blew out the lines to no avail, and I just replaced the pump, but they're still not working. I am going to check the fuse and bust out the voltmeter and see what I can determine.

Cool - keep me posted, I'd like to know..

I'll try blowing air into the nozzle (after disconnecting the lines) and see what that does for me...

I dunno, though.. the driver's side sprays, just very weak... I don't think it's clogged..

Might be the pump, or something to that effect?

I will start with the lines

Mine spray weak too. I haven't tried to solve it yet, though, as they still get enough water on to the windshield to clean it off.

The washers started working sporadically, and then stopped...

Now, the driver's side seems to be shooting slightly stronger, and the passenger side is now just reaching the bottom of the window (still not reaching over the wiper to do anything effective..)

Is that a good enough indication that it is not the nozzles being clogged? (I did not yet clean them, or blow air down the lines, or anything...)

It just seems to me that they aren't getting enough pressure... well, at least the passenger..

I noticed my washer fluid was frozen (wtf?) so about an hour later of the car sitting in the garage I gave it a shot, worked like a charm. Try blowing out the lines before you do anything.

also check for leaks in the hoses going from the resevoir to the nozzles... if the one is shooting stronger than the other - other than the nozzles being clogged, if the hose to that sprayer is cracked or leaking, it's causing a loss of pressure to that spray nozzle which will result in a weak spray pattern...

those hoses do not last forever...

How many of you guys with weak spray issues have used rain-x washer fluid in the past?

I know this is quite an old post and you guys may not see it. But my washer fluid stuff is giving me heck as well. I found that where the lines meet into some sort of diverter valve at the top of the hood on the bottom, it squirts out two small holes apposed to going to the nozzles. I cannot find the part anywhere online. I will probably have to go pull it
