air bag car steering wheel chatter.

Every 318is or air bag car I have every been in has the chatter. I might even make a video of it.
I hate it and I want it to go away.

everything is new except the rack..
    has anyone ever solved this?

is it just a noise or is it associated with a vibration? Does the steering wheel actually move??

Mine makes a little plastic rattly clunky sound over bumps. Its not at all connected to steering angle. Is this what your talking about?

            steering rattle

Ya, my 91' Ix has that steering rattle down on the column, mostly coming from low speed bumps. Anyone have a heads up on this ?? Joe

i get it at high speeds on the highway as well as slow bumps, its almost like the steering column is a spring that keeps bouncing or something.

Yep haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that this plagues. I will say, I just installed a momo wheel and the noise is pretty much gone. I have to put some more miles on it to see if the sound is still there, but so far so good.

really? my car doesn't do that at all. I have no rattles, but by now I have probably tightened down all of the associated bolts during other projects.
