    325is ecu question

    what ecu can i use for a 88 325is? does it need to be from a 325is or can it be from a 325i? and what years? i found a car i want to buy but it needs a new ecu and i want to see how hard it would be to find a newish ecu and how much it would cost. thanks guys.

    I'm not sure which ones will work, 153, 173?
    But I'd take a known good dme with you when you test out that car, the ad sounds a bit funny. Looks good though and the price is right!

      yeah. i thought the same thing about that ad. if the rest of the car is not in ok shape im going to pass on it.

        You will need a 173 DME to test the car with.

          You can use a 153, 173, 524, 525, 380 and a couple of others that escape me at the moment. All will work fine in the car. Year doesn't matter, and it can be from an i/is/ic/ix.
