help me get an estimate of how long these jobs should take a garage..

I'm going to get a bunch of shit done on my iX..
If you guys know how long each of these jobs should roughly take, It would be greatly appreciated..
I want to make sure a garage isn't going to tack on an extra 5 hours of them with their thumbs up their asses..

    1) Timing belt replacement/tune-up including:

    Timing belt
    Water pump
    Accessory belts (p/s..a/c..alternator..)
    Sparkplugs
    New filters (oil, air, fuel)

    2) Fluid flush - flush and replace fluids on:

    Oil Change
    Automatic transmission
    Front and rear differentials
    Transfer case
    Steering rack

    3) Suspension components

Removing old stock shocks and springs, and other worn items,
    switching with

    Koni SAs
    H&R springs
    new top mounts
    1 axel boot
    etc

    Could be a rough estimate....
How many hours should each take?

    Thanks a lot, guys.

Don't most of you work on your own cars?

I would give a day (~ 6hrs) to each one... as the car is old and always leave room for extra shit that might be happening.

        That long, eh?

I was thinking they would take 3-4 hours each, or so..

        Any other people's experiences?

Any one to confirm this 6 hours, each?

        Cheers

now i have the shit down to a science, prob for the first group listed about 2.5 hrs start to finish

          filters take 15 min..

flush and fill? about 2 hrs if the fluid is warm and you dont have any stuck plugs. but some huge allens and some crush washers

have them use the Labor estimating guide. It is a conservative estimate that most reputable use.

Well, I thought if you change the diff bushing (that takes some time) and doing it all first time, transfer case.. taking that off and flushing... replacing all worn to shit seals. Suspension.. are you doing bushings? that'll be 6hrs minimum. That's if you're doing it all by yourself (maybe a friend too).

                      Like I said...

Taking it to a garage... not doing it myself.
