    cooling issues

    Okay so i finally finished my first engine swap and everything works. kinda. aside from the electrical sh*t not working i drove it and found a bit of smoke bellowing out. I popped the hood and saw the radiator looked like it was the problem but the engine wasnt overheating just the radiator. i must have hooked up a coolant hose wrong or something so.......

    Does anyone have a diagram or explanation or something of the flow and hook ups of the coolant system, hoses and all?

            now i just need to know where those are going and which way the fluids should be flowing threw them

                87 325is m20 and ima try bleeding the coolant system cause thats all i could lead to

                    you get heat blowing inside the car.
                    Or put it in a pot on the stove and watch it open.
                    Maybe T-Stat in backwards?

                        Installation error. You'd have to take it out of the housing to know. Real oem shows the proper orientation of the Tstat. If the engine was not in another vehicle running at the time of purchase, you should probably replace the TStat just to be sure it is not contributing to the problem. I suppose you could just remove the TStat temporarily to rule it out.
                        Possible it is a coincidental failure of the radiator. Maybe get a laser temp/thermometer and check temps in the radiator to possibly pinpoint a blockage. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...59&hg=11&fg=35
