    differential leaking

the differential on my car seems to be leaking, but it seems to be from the drain and fill plugs... how can i seal those up better so it doesnt leak? teflon tape or some other sort of washer or o-ring combo? or jsut get new drain and fill bolts? thanks

      maybe buy a rubber washer...

drain diff into something so you can re-use fluids if it is fresh.
bolt - rubber washer... you get the idea..

my old diff did that i just replaced the washer and bolt. the old washer seemed a little tweaked and i guess even the smallest amount can make it leak.

You are supposed to replace cruch washers everytime you remove the bolt, though I rarely do and rarely have leaky shit like that. I had an audi with banjo fittings all over the turbo system and those loved to leak if the crush washer wasn't replaced.

yeah i figured as much, with the washer and all, it never really leaked before, but i went over to synthetic redline and noticed it more. will be doing this tomorrow or sunday
